Where a mid-market implementation is different is that mid-market companies tend to operate on tighter budgets with little room for error and need to see quick results. Such an approach requires the implementation programme to be defined in a way that allows the breadth to be tailored as the work goes on. In essence, a mid-market implementation needs to deliver a succession of quick wins rather than searching for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

A phased approach to CRM may not be one advocated by purists who would seek to remodel an entire company at a stroke, but it is a pragmatic approach that provides real benefits to mid-market companies.
